World Heritage Nærøyfjord

Date: Thursday 1 jun 2017 - Thursday 31 Aug 2017 Show map

A fjord cruise on the Nærøyfjord. Here you can visit some of the small settlements along the fjord, and get up close to this World Heritage area.

Experience the World Heritage at your own tempo. Join our "Hiking boat" on a roundtrip, or spend time in the area and experience the magnificent natural surroundings. Go ashore and visit the settlements, take a walk along the Postal route or a longer hike up the mountains.

The Postal route, built in the 1600's, was an important part of the route between Bergen and Oslo, is a gentle walk (6km) along the fjord. For those who wants a more challenging hike, Bakka or Dyrdal are recommended starting points.

The "Hiking boat" turns in Dyrdal. If you prefer to just book an enjoyable boat cruise, select Gudvangen - Dyrdal roundtrip. If you choose to go a shore or hike on your own, select one of the other roundtrip options and pick the return that suites you.

All hiking is at your own risk! On board the vessel you will also find information on how to enjoy the area with the least impact on the natural environment.
